Chrysi Island

Chrysi, is one of the 81 uninhabited islands of Crete and it is known as Gaidouronisi.

It is located to the Lybian sea, 8 miles south of Ierapetra. On summertime it is full of daily visitors that enjoy the blonde beaches and turquoise waters. An impressive fact of the island is that the profits forest is almost 200 years old.
Many fossils have been found in Chrysi on volcano rocks dating from 350.000 until 70.000 years when the island was still under the sea.
